A former U.S. surgeon basic is becoming a member of the advisory board of a California CBD firm.
Dr. Richard Carmona, who served as surgeon basic from 2002 to 2008, will advise Kadenwood, a privately held firm that makes topical CBD merchandise in Newport Seaside, California.
The appointment offers Kadenwood a authorities insider to “shift the notion of CBD,” firm CEO Erick Dickens mentioned in an announcement.
Phrases of the appointment weren’t disclosed.
Kadenwood plans to start out promoting topical CBD merchandise this summer season.
Carmona was appointed by former President George W. Bush and oversaw a landmark 2006 report on secondhand smoke.
After leaving workplace, Carmona ran unsuccessfully in 2012 for U.S. Senate as a Democrat in Arizona, his dwelling state.
