WATCH: Vote for Laoi’s wife at the World Rugby Awards

A Laois rugby legend has been nominated for a top award in a special edition of the World Rugby Awards.

Alison Miller has been nominated in the International Rugby Players Women’s 15s Try of the Decade category, and the public will be asked to vote for their favorite attempt.

Miller hung her Irish boots in 2019, but she was nominated for her miracle attempt against New Zealand at the 2014 World Cup when she left New Zealand’s back to burst off the center line and land in the corner as Ireland recorded a memorable win.

Fans are invited to speak up and vote for the Men and Women of the Decade 15 and 7, along with Attempt of the Decade to celebrate a special edition of the World Rugby Awards in 2020.

The nominees in all six award categories are comprised of previous World Rugby Award winners from the past decade (2010-19), with the exception of the decade’s 15-Year Women’s Trial, for which nominees were selected by international rugby players.

The World Rugby Awards panel will also select the men’s and women’s teams of the decade.
